I will head up the swap this year DO NOT FLOOD MY BOX WITH PM"S.
I will PM you with your info on your builder. You can discuss anything in this thread and ask any questions here in the open forum. If you have any special concerns then send me an email. I haven't talked to Kelly lately so for now just get ahold of me. If Kelly get's ahold of me and is gonna have time to help this year he will post I'm sure.
!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!UPDATE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I gave it some thought and decided to form a bow swap committee of sorts for the purpose of making any decisions should any problems arise concerning any important issues. It is formed of 6 members and any and all changes from here on out will be put to a vote.
Swap committee members
Stiks-N-Strings
KellyG
PatB
RoyfromPA
DVShunter
Walt Francis
Should any issues arise all decisions will be discussed among the committee and voted on as big as this got last year I expect it to be bigger this year and I figure this is the best way to keep everything fair. The main reason is to keep everything and every one in check and to deal with anyone that would try to recieve a bow and skip out. We will do anything and everything in our ability to make sure that never happens again.
Gonna go ahead and start this to give some folks an extra week of planning and building.
sign ups will be closed at midnight January the 7th
READ ALL RULES AND REGULATIONS!!!!!!!!!
The only change this year is....
Contact phone # is Required! You can just send it to me or Kelly Privately and it will be added to the spread sheet and kept private.
Any one that was asked not to ship on account of their recipient being late will not be on the list of shippers to hold
If you shipped late or are a new sign up your builder will be holding your bow until you ship and provide either me or Kelly a tracking # and we OK your builder to ship. This is the only way we can keep someone from receiving and not sending.
Kelly and my self discussed this as well as a few other participants through pm's and it is the only way we can figure to stop some one from receiving and not sending. Myself and Kelly will be on this list so don't take it personal.
We have had a few out of country entries in the past. I don't have an issue shipping out of country but if any one does send me a PM and I will take care of it. I shipped a bow to switzerland for around 45-50$ and figure it should be roughly the same for anywhere else. If you have an issue with it just send me a PM. It does cost a small fortune to ship to Africa, You can ship a TD to Africa for around 50 or 60 bucks.
Stiks
DEADLINE IS the July 7th for shipping
READ ALL RULES BEFORE SIGNING UP
#1 There will be a 30 day grace period after the final to be shipped date. Any bows not shipped by then and I will ask you to forward the bow you receive to your recipient. The only exeptions will be made by Kelly and My self and a few other members I intend to contact
The only way We will make any exceptions to this rule is if you contact us and let us know what is going on. We do understand things happen and We are willing to work with anyone should an emergency arise, But YOU HAVE TO KEEP COMMUNICATION OPEN AND STAY IN TOUCH WITH us. No exceptions!
Okay here we go.
The way we'll do this to insure everybody get's a bow they can shoot is draw names. If you want in post here and at the end of sign up I will draw names and PM or email to the builder who your bow is going to and the specs desired.
#1 When you post that you are in also post your draw length and desired draw weight within a 5 or 10 pound range and right or lefthanded. (example.. 45-50 or 40-50) Also state whether you will be building a glass or wood bow, one pice or TD for the trade. I need to know this for shipping purposes out of country.
#2 When you post pics during the build DO NOT state in any fashion whom your bow is going to.
#3 I have given this alot of thought and to keep it as honest as possible no one who has signed up to TradGang after the date of this post can enter. I hate to exclude anyone but have heard of it here in past trades that one guy or another did not get a return on his trade and DO NOT want that to happen.
#4 The time frame for the build will be about 6 months and the bow you built should if anyway possible be shot in. Bows need to finished and shipped by the last day of June
#5 There was a few concerns about liabilty so I will throw in that any one who receives a bow in this trade is doing so at his/her own risk and in no way holds any one resposbible in any way should a misfortune occur due to use of such bow.
#6 if you are building a glass bow and only want a glass bow in return or vice versa for wood bowyers please state this in the sign up, otherwise you may recieve a glass or wood bow.
There we have it. I tried to keep it as simple as possible and keep everybody happy. So let the building and swapping commence.
Have fun! Kris
Awesome!! I'll jump right in- right hand 28" draw, 45-55# range- prefer a glass bow. Will be building a glass bow and will build either a one piece or TD.
I don't know if I want in or not this year given that you have Roy on the decision makin' committee. :scared:
Ah, what the heck. How much damage could one man do? Count me in again.
I'll be building a one piece glass laminated longbow - either a mild r/d or straight limbed depending on what I think my recipient might like better.
In return, I'd prefer a glass bow if possible, right handed, 50 - 60# @ 28".
Let the fun begin!!
I have been waiting for the return of the swap.
I will build a wood selfbow .{My experience is making bows for 28" and less draw length.}
In return I wish to have a wood bow made for me .I shoot right hand, 27" draw and prefer a 50# bow {45# to 55 # Works for me.}
Pete
I'm in. I'll build a one piece wood bow, probably mild R/D. I don't care if I receive wood or glass as long as its right handed and between 45-55#@27
Im in Ill build a wood recurve or longbow, wood or glass right hand 50-55 @ 28" for trade fine. Thanks Curt
put me in please.first timer.will build one piece fiberglass or wood composite, not up to self bow yet.you tell me which.
will take anything in return 45-55@28"
I'm in again...was a great experience last year.
I will build a one piece self bow or bamboo backed.
I'm right handed 45-50 @ 27.
Thanks Rick.
Count me in! I'll build a one piece bamboo backed or tri-lam longbow. For myself, something right handed, 45# to 55#, 28" draw length.
Thanks.
Dave.
Been looking forward to this again! I'm in - RH 45-55 @ 29". I will be building a wood bow and it doesn't matter what my builder creates for me.
Stiks, I'm having trouble e-mailing you. My infernal machine won't let me enter an address with spaces in it. Can you send me an e-mail, so I can reply with my contact info?
Sorry for being a dinosaur.
Dave.
mallard01@rogers.com
I'd like to give it a go this year. I can build a fiberglass r/d, an all wood, or a bamboo/hickory backed something or other. I have only built right hand bows that draw 28" and are in the 30-60 lb range.
I'd like to receive anything that right handed and in the 45-55lbs range, 28"draw.
Wood Carver,
Those aren't spaces. They're underscores. Like these _ _ _ _ ... It's the one next to the zero. You have to hit shift at the same time.
I thought that might be the case. I just wanted to be sure. In the profile it looks like spaces.
Like I said... dinosaur.
Dave.
After giving this more thought, I have decided not to participate this year. I'm having bad luck with bows the past month or so and I have a couple more to make yet. I just don't need the added pressure right now. Have fun Guys.
I'm in again Kris. I'll be building a boo backed ipe unless I start to have problem with my boo like I did last year then I'll build a glass R/D. Just let me know if I need to either or..In return right handed 50-60#@28. I'm not picky.
My first time.
I'll build a BBI longbow.
I'd like a wood bow. 50 to 55 @ 27 inch draw. Closer to 50 is better. Right hand.
Well you can count me in .... Let the games begin!!!!!!
I'll build another selfbow... don't know if it will be backed or unbacked???
Right handed 45/50#s @28.... Ideal 45/47@27... I shoot split finger
Count me in, my specs are RH 55-60 @ 28". I'll be building a self bow of some sort. I'll be happy with either glass or wood....Dan
What would be really cool................After all the bows are delivered, then all the names of the reciepents and their builder be posted. I know lots of us would like to know and it would be fun reading for those of us that keep up with the postings and pictures of beautiful bows as they are built. What do the rest of you guys think??????????????/
last years posts n pics
http://tradgang.com/cgi-bin/ultimatebb.cgi?ubb=get_topic;f=125;t=007554
James - Ralph Morris did start such a thread with pics of the bows once received. It was a different thread from the one where we all chat about the bows being built as the swap proceeds. Unfortunately, not all bows made it onto this thread. It would be nice if we could keep this sort of thread going so that pics of all bows can be easily viewed in one place.
http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=125;t=007772
You all are making me feel like a failure .... I think it needs to be a rule that you have to email pictures of the bow you receive to the person heading up the picture only post... I will head it up again ... But I don't really want to have to track down people to get their pictures.
Well my ranting is done and I am in again... I will build some sort of glass longbow in left or right handed and any weight and draw...
Send me anything 45# +/- 5# right handed and at a full 30" draw
Thank you all for doing this again
I am in and will be building a one-piece osage selfbow or possibly a sinew backed osage.
I will accept any bow that is 45-50# at 27". I am right handed.
Thanks. Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!
Ralph - You're not a failure and you shouldn't have to post all the pics yourself. That's a lot of messin' with photobucket. Folks should post when they get their bow and if they're having trouble with photobucket, then email them to you. I'll offer up helping out with posting bow pics too if folks are having issues with photobucket.
I'm in. I will be building a Hickory selfbow. 45-60 right hand. My spec, 40-55, 28" right hand. Any kind will be fine. This will be my 5th bow to build.
I am in 27", 45-55# left handed. I will be making a selfbow. Stick you know I am in to help out where ever and how ever you need me. We still have not closed out last years swap. I know of two bows not received yet.
Ralph you asked everyone to send pics so you could post them..... if they sent them you posted them.
Thanks buddy for stepping up and volunteering to begin with....
Sticks thanks for makin it happen again.... you and your crew :)
:campfire:
Put me in. I will be happy with anything between 45-65 #'s @ 29" (though my preference is 55-60 #'s), made with glass, wood' or whatever combination the builder prefers; not too particular about the shape either. Prefer right handed, but shoot left handed too, so either one works.
I will make a self bow, glass recurve or glass R/D longbow, depending on what is desired. I will make these in takedown models and ship internationally if needed.
Well Ralph I gotta admit I didn't put pictures of the bow Walt Francis sent me last year on the pics only forum. I put the pics on the original forum but I completly forgot about the pics only forum. I apologize my friend.
I'm in, Stiks! My specs are- left handed, 26" draw, 45-55#. Any style is fine.
I'll build an osage longbow backed with bamboo, or hickory.
Thanks for running this swap again, Stiks and Kelly G. Oh, and the committee, too!
Been lookin' forward to this! :jumper:
Put me in.
I haven't decided on what to build, it may be a Selfbow, Hill style bow, or 50s style recurve.
My preferred draw weight range is 48-55@28", right handed. I'm into the types of bows I've mentioned above but anything is fine.
Already got several regulars and a few new ones.
I'm sitting out this year I have way to much catching up to do. I am building one of the back up from last years for Keenan. He already knows so it really ain't a secret but I will say it's gonna be something real special and he don't know all the details LOL
I have about three bows that I have promised out and are way over due along with a few other obligations. I really need to learn how to manage my time or just win the lottery LOL.
I'll probably go ahead and start one on the side for a back up but other than that I'm just tagging along this year.
Should prove to be another good one with some great bows built for sure.
Count me in again...... right hand 45-55 @ 27", I'll be building a self bow. Thanks again Stiks!
I am in!!! This will be my first swap so I have been waiting to jump in.... Now or never I guess.
I will be building either a BBO or some sort of self bow, probably osage and or elm.
I am not picky on what my return bow is... something between 45-55 pounds at 28 inch draw, right handed, nothing over 64 ttt if possible.
Thank you all who head up this swap... You guys really get things rocking on this site and I can't wait to see what gets turned out this year... Always amazed by the craftsmanship... Even ROY!!
Good Luck everyone.... Justin
Kris and Kelly, I'll be sitting this one out this year but will be here to help in any way I can. I have a full plate and a few promised bow I still haven't had a chance to make.
Pat
I've been checking every day for this to start. Looks like I checked too early yesterday.
I would like to receive in the 50-60# range at 29". I shoot RH, three under.
This year I plan to make a glass bow. I am also willing to try making a takedown and ship overseas if necessary.
Yee-haw, I've been waiting for this since July.
I'm in! I shoot right handed. My draw is 27" and weight of 50-55# would be great. I would like a glass bow if possible but any bow would be great.
I will build either a one piece glass r/d longbow or a selfbow. Just depends which is needed. I can ship out of the country.
Im in.iwill be building a glass laminate long bow straight limb or mild rd.right or left hand.be using action wood from kenny m. .in return a snakey osage with canebreak skins.or any glass bow.around 45lb@28.right hand
I am in right hand 50 to 60 lbs. I will build composite or selfbow.
Hey Jeff glad to see you got in this year. I'll see ya tuesday at the shoot.
I am going to regret this but I am going to pass this year. I am a bit behind with bows already promised. Hopefully next year.
Ok we have 27 bowyers this year. Sorry to hear that Pat and jess are not going to be in it this year. Glad to see the new guys in. We have a lot of return bowyers.
Count me in, I will build a glass longbow either one piece or take down.
I would prefer a glass bow in return 50 to 55 @ 28 right handed. Or a osage wood bow with recurved tips.
I'm in again. I'll be making a bbi.
I shoot 45-55# @ 28" left hand
I would like to participate this year. I really don't feel worthy after seeing the amazing bows built here--but I promise to give it my all. I have successfully built many board bows and really like the way they shoot. I will build this type again. I would be thrilled to receive ANY bow--right handed(or no shelf)--45 to 60 pounds @ 28.
A.j. You will do just fine and anyone here will be happy to receive anything you put your best into
Well I guess you can count me in again this year. :)
I will be doing some form of all wood bow, probably hickory or cherry, until I screw it up and have to fall back to a board bow :) .
I shoot right handed, 29" draw and would like anything in the 45-60# range.
Never made a take-down so probably not a good candidate for sending one overseas but would be willing to help others with the shipping.
I'm also gonna watch from the sidelines this year because of other projects. Looking forward to seeing all of the beautiful bows you guys build for one another!
VB, yer nuffen but a big sissy pants..
Count me in again this year
I'll be making a glass r/d longbow
My specs...... 45-55 @ 28" right hand any style please
Just not sure if I will get in or not. I have alot I need to get done. I will give it some thougt. It sure was alot of fun last year.
Oh come on now Mike...Don't be hoardin' those awesome take down recurves you make. You gotta spread the wealth ;)
count me in, missed it last year. i will bwe building a hickory longbow for the recipient.
my specs; 40-60 @ 28 rh, recurve would be nice, but any bow would do.
Count me in. Right handed, Draw 29" weight 47-50@28". Would love an osage self bow that would handle a 29" draw. If not available, then a Hill style glass bow.
Will build a glass 3 piece pronounced RD Take Down longbow, 64, 66, or 68"
35 bowyers have signed up and 12 are new to the swap.
I need to know if psychmonky and Millhimes are right or left handed. I did not see that in your post.
also I am using last years Addresses so if it has changed let me know. If you are new I will need your address if you have NOT sent it to stiks.
Sent a PM Kelly! Sorry!
I'm in, I'll build a r/d glass longbow. I'm RH looking for something 55-60# (closer to 55)@ 28" shoot 3 under.

I do seem to have some zebrawood leftover from my last build. :bigsmyl:
Sorry kelly.i am right handed--thanks-joe
I have to agree with John...Mike after seeing the curve you made last year you gotta get in it. Just make sure that you get my name and I'd be willing to wait til you got caught up so you could start working on it...lolol
BrushWolf you want me to keep your same info from last year?
Last years trade had me slobbering all over the keyboard at some of those glass Bows with those beautiful wood veneers...wow
I would be honored If you would allow me to join this year swap , I would bring to the table a self bow( I hope to make it worth of a trade for a glass bow...) my experiences have been 28 inch draw and under.
My preference would be a glass bow, right handed , and somewhere 45 to 55#@26"
I am toying with the idea but frankly the shipping costs have me a bit scared. could be as much as $200.Give me a bit of feedback as whether anyone is prepared to have to suffer those sort of costs.
Sweet action im in draw right at 29.5" and dont really care if its wood or glass there all cool I like a 50# bow so +/-5 no biggy and im right handed
I will build a 2 peice Osage might even sinew back it
Thanks Jake
I'm in I'll be making a one piece self bow for my recipient.I'm right handed 45-55 pounds 28" draw.Self bow or glass bow will work for me.

RH 28"draw, 45-60#
Thanks to all !
Now we are up to 43 bowyers including bigbob. Bob give your stats and pm me your address. I am sure we will get a bow down your way.
Mike it won't be the same swap without some Tenley MOJO!!!
:campfire:
Right handed. 55 - 60@ 28. Doesnt matter glass or wood. Ill probably build a glass bow. Ph number is 317-735-5571
Kelly will send pm on address, stats will be glass, HH style 'boo cored made from aussie wood. In return would like a self bow preferably, anywhere from 40# to 55# at 28''.
Seems like a big interest in selfbows this year. You glass guys better not get into wooden bows. You'll give up your glass and never go back.
I've been watching these swaps for some time now.
Guess it's about time to get with the program.
I'll be making one of my 62" RMR reproduction takedown recurves.
Would like a glass bow in exchange.
My states are 55-60# @ 29" RH
Not sure what else I need to do, so if someone can head me in the right direction it would be a great help.
Troy
Troy Glad to see you jump in bud!
I'll give you a holler sometime in the next week or so.
Count me in.
50-60# at 27" draw for me.
I'll make a one piece selfbow
Thanks
We are up to 46 bowyers. I need some addresses of the new folks if you have not sent it to me or stiks get it to me.

Well now we can't be messin with the MOJO!
Put me in. I will be making a takedown recurve. Make mine 45-55# @ 29". I'd like a glass bow in return.
Mike - I knew you'd be jumpin' in. You're gonna make someone real happy
Thanks John. The call of the build is strong. Guess I just can't resist.
I'd love to get back in this year. I had to drop out late last year but the divorce is over and I retired in September. I don't know how I managed to get in all those hours of work since retirement is keeping me busy although I do have a new part-time job. :)
I'm right handed, 40-50# @ 28 is good.
I'll most likely make a hickory backed something(hickory, cherry or maple or something new if I find it).
Thanks to all for taking this on again.
Wel it is greering up to be a good on. I have picked out an osage stave I will start chasing a ring soon. I have a hickory stave as a back up.
Kelly I'll talk to you on New years day bud, I have to work on monday. Already looking like it's gonna be a busy year for me.
Was supposed to be off on monday but was told saturday we had to come in and run coal.
Ok so it looks like I'll be getting whatever brushwolf makes. Sorry everybody else. lol
I'm in this year as well. 50-55lbs @29. I'll be making a self bow.
Oh and I'm right handed
I'll get in again. I'm right handed and shoot 47-55 pounds comfortably @ 28 inches.
I'll be building a glass three piece bow and would like a glass bow in return.
Thanks for heading this up again Kris.
I'll see if I can whip up a D/R one- pc longbow from 58" to 64" in glass .
I think I'd like a glass (maybe recurve?)this time, but really don't matter if it don't come out even . A selfie is fine too.
Righty, 45-50 @ 28"
Count me in.
I will make a t/d glass Longbow 62" or 64"
I am RH 50#-60# @ 28". wood or glass does not matter to me.
Ok we are up to 52 bowyers. Lots of old faces and welcome to the new ones.
Send me or stiks your address if you are new or if it has changed.
Count me in. I'm going to build something with glass, don't know yet what exactly. I've got a few ideas in my mind.
Im RH 60-65@27. I'll be happy with glass or wood.
----------
Andy
O.K., I'm in. I will be building a T/D glass long bow of some sort!
I am right hand 45-55 @ 27" and would like a glass bow in return but will be happy with anything!
I'll join up again. I will be making a wooden bow and would like something right-handed and 35-40#@26" in return. (Yes, ya'll read that right...no laughing :) )
I also would like to join again. I'll be making a one piece wood bow.
My specs are RH, 50-60# @ 28" and I'd be happy with either glass or wood.
--Steve
I would like to join in this year. I will be making a glass r/d long bow.
I shoot right handed, 45-50 pounds at 26". glass or wood is fine by me.
-GA
I have a case of the nerves about throwing in! Almost joined up last year and would not have been able to complete my obligations due to a serious accident. But... I'm gonna do it.
I'll build a glass wood lam bow. It will be flat but will reflect some holmegard influence. Will be experimental for me so whoever is ok with receiving it will be a part of the experiment :)
I'd like any glass lam bow coming in at 35 to 40 at 28". I'm right handed.
Well we are at 57 bowyers in.
Count me in..
Had a good trade last year...
I will be building a bamboo backed osage recurve...shoots both left or right...
Would like a glass bow...right hand, 40 - 50 @ 27"
Kevin Hartman in Alaska
Count me in. I'll build a selfbow out of osage.
Would like a right handed 45-60 @26" draw bow.
Looking a little thin this year Kelly
I'll get you the info I have as soon a s I get a chance buddy
how many were there last year ?
Count me in. Missed out last year and really kicked myself for doing so. will probably make a r/d osage. If at all possible would like glass 45-50# @ 28" closer to 45# would be ideal.
Count me in as well. I'll most likely be building a one piece wooden bow. Probably boo backed ipe. Unless CanopyBoy lets me use his shop ... then maybe I'll get on the glass bow bandwagon.
I'm happy to receive any type of bow as long as it draws in the ballpark of 45-55lbs @ 26", righthanded.
Thanks to everyone on the committe this year for making this possible. Your efforts are greatly appreciated
Stiks we are not doing to bad. I mean we are up to 61 plus there is this whole weekend. Last year we had 85 or 6 but heck about a half dozen dropped out and then one that got a bow and did not ship. Heck we are still not done with last years.
Only time will tell how many we end up with.
Has anyone talked to goose? He needs to be thumped on the back of the head next time some one talks to him for disappearing like this ...
Also I have not seen Galen (BenBow) I will talk with him soon...
Goose posted back on page 6.
As bad as I hate to be corrected by ole Roy , I am glad he is correct.
I unnerstand son:)
Count me in. I will be building either a osage selfbow or an all wood laminated bow. I will be happy with whatever. I like between 50-60 lbs and I draw 28" and shoot right handed. Let the shavings fly.
Seems to be a larger interest in glass bows this year than I remember there was last year, but my memory anymore seems to be....ummm I forget. lol
hi good people there,
i am decided to be join in again this year. (actually convinced by kelly .. :-) )
i will be building #40+ take down with big jim's (if i remember correct) method (for shipment easily) and probably out of eucalyptus or hornbeam with fiberglass+polyester backed and belly-ed (haha invented some kind of term) 155 - 165cm bow. (i can include the bamboo arrows in to pack as well :) ).
expecting takedown (for the shipment, if you do not have problem with shipping it, then no problem if it is take down or not) something specially done for me. could be anything but please let me say i personnally do not like snaky shaped bows.
can be turkish type bow (since i am turkish), can be recurve, can be mongolian, can be ..... the main idea is, when i am shooting with it i want to remember you. that's it.
right handed #40+ @28
best.
I REALLY want in on this...but I'm gonna pass. Being new to the bow making game, I just don't feel confident enough to risk disappointing someone. Next year for sure...in the meantime, I'll be slobberin' all over my computer watching you guys have Christmas in July.
Brain- if you do sign up, making a bow for someone else will drive you to make better bows. It's a great way to hone your skills.
You can do it Brian, I am. Same concern as the rest of us new bow builders. We'll all do our best. Come on sign up
I'm in, This will be my first time, sure looking forward to it! Stiks, Kelly, thanks for all of your work in getting this swap together.
I will be building a wood bow, either a selfbow or a Hickory/Bamboo backed flat bow, or English LB.
I'm right handed and prefer bows 45-55 pounds at a 30" draw. I like glass or wood bows, either way is great.
Thanks again,
Lucas
Brian,
This swap is for the new and veteran bowyers. It is so we new bowyers can get insight from the veterans. It is to create a fellowship of bowyers.
Just a reminder though the only guarantee on Glass bows is if someone is building a glass bow. And on the same end of the spectrum for self bows.
So if you build a glass bow and want a glass bow you will get on and if you are a self bow guy and want a self bow you will get one. If you are like me you don't care and we have a chance at any bow that comes out of the swap.
If you are looking over this thread and last years thinking man I would like to join but dont know if I can make a bow good enough or not this swap is for you.
All we ask is you make the best bow you can, and if you would be proud to shoot it and keep then other would to. Also remember you can ask for help from the forum post pics and asking for help/advise.
There is only 2 more days of signup if I am correct. Then all the data collected will go to sticks.
Happy building,
Kelly
I am going to watch from the side lines again this year. I'm Still working way to many hours to make sure I can make a good bow. Good luck!
rmorris: My new job has me traveling quite a bit and with a new one on the way and a young one taking much of my time the time in the shop has dwindled drastically... that and we are trying to sell a house and osage shavings aren't considered mulch anymore by my wife. :D
I am excited about this years swap and I've been "seasoning" something hopefully special for this year. Just waiting on the name and the dust will fly.
Goose I only called ya out because you always make such beautiful bows and I have not seen them in awhile. Anyways congradations on the new baby, I am expecting my first in April of this year!
Goose I even started a thread a month or so ago asking if anyone has seen or heard from ya. Just because we miss your crazy bow pictures:)

I'd like in again. I shoot right hand, 40-45 lb, 28" . I will build a selfbow, preferably 50 lb or less and will like any type of bow in return. My info is the same if you still have it.
Goose, Kelly and Stiks haven't sent my name to you yet? Thought for sure you already had it!
Stan :bigsmyl:
Kelly I think I'll lock the thread first thing in the morning.
Any body else that wants in better get signed up tonight.
Me and Kelly will get all the info ironed out and I will start sending out names at the end of the week. I've been covered up but I'll get ahold of you Kelly LOL send me a PM with your #
Thanks guys
Without a doubt guys. This is like secret Santa from hell. Must be a nightmare. :clapper:
I'm back from hunting. I'm in I'll make a selfbow. I'll take anything in return as long as its not from Ro... Ah never mind. 50-60@28
Dang DV thought you were gonna miss out on all Roys abuse :biglaugh:
I wouldn't want to let Roy down.
David I know what ya are talking about. That ole boy was making some pretty nice bows but a few bows back he was using green plywood on a stick bow... I guess old age will do that to ya
Looks like we're going to have a pretty good group. Thanks to Kelly & Sticks for all the free work you are about to do.
Everyone should try to make it a bit easier on them and get the bows done before the due date this year, there is plenty of time allowed in the schedule.
I've been looking forward to this all year! I'm IN! I've been having some luck building hickory backed hickory, so that will be my first attempt. I also have some boo and ipe on hand, so I may use those as a fall back. For me, I'll take anything! Right handed, 40 - 50 lbs ( towards 40 is ok, I'm nursing a shoulder injury) and a 28" draw. I am so excited, I'll be starting tomorrow!
I'm not too late am I? Also, I'd like to request to build something 50# or less... Shoulder injuries suck. Thanks!
Ok, I don't know if midnight is measured in my timezone or not for this. But pushing it out to PST, I figure we have about 16 hours left to get a few more signed up. Then the real fun begins as the PMs show up with your recipient. I can hardly wait!
Ben - you're welcome to come use the shop anytime.
Hmmmm? Where's that pearl drums character at? :smileystooges:
sign up's will run until I lock this thread so if you can post here you can still get in.
I'll probably lock it tonight when I get home from work around 3 am
Also we may have a secret entry this :dunno: LOL
Lol a mystery guest? You gonna give us any clues?
Uh.. am I too late?
Its been hectic and haven't been around for a while but I have a few new christmas present tools to put to work.
If I can sign up then here are my stats
Right handed
50-60lb
28.5 draw
I will be building a wood bow but would like either.
I think I have everything (that is if you have mercy on me and let me sign up).
Caught this just in time! I would like to enter again for this year. I will plan to make a selfbow (perferably not too high in poundage) and in return I would like a 45-50# glass or wood bow at 27 inches (perferably glass if you are asking :-)). My contact info is the same.
Thanks!
Dino
I would like to get in again this year if I'm not too late. I'll build a one piece Osage self bow or bbo. I'm a 27" draw; and prefer a 55-60# bow in return. Right handed. Thanks sticks and Kelly.
Ok I think this is the last few hours of sign up.
Stiks I will get all the data added and check tomorrow and email all the info by Wednesday.
If its not too late I would like to join in the fun. This will be my first time in the swap. I can build a one peice osage self bow. I will take anything in return.
Right handed
27" draw
55# or so.
After giving this alot of thought, I have decided not to participate this year.Ive just got too much on my plate. This will be the first year ive missed.Im sure ill regret it...Good luck every body.Scott
I would like to welcome mjwhitny to the gang and the bow swap. I know he's been lurking here for some time. I've shot one of his bows and I would be glad to get one from him. Let the fun begin.
I've been thinking about doing this for a couple years now but just haven't had the courage to jump in. Everyone else's bows are just so nice! But I think I'm gonna give it a go this year. I'm excited to try to make something really nice for someone (and get something nice in return)!
So I'll probably be making a glass one piece longbow or recurve, and would like a glass something in return. Somewhere around 45-55# @ 28" right handed (and something red would be really cool :) )
Let the party begin! Thanks for this guys!
Looks like Cabbage got the last the entry and the only hint on the mystery guest is ......... LOL I ain't telling.
