very cool!!
Love it!, What are the specs and how does it shoot?
Nice looking bow Bob, that's going to look even sweeter when the osage darkens.
Ohhhh that's niiiiice!
Thanks Gents. Dan the specs are 45# @ 28'' and 68 NTN. I cant shoot it nor give a 'money shot' right now due to a small operation on my right main finger, but all my bows in this style are very smooth, easy to draw and absolutely no 'stack'
Nice! Please show us more of your down under woods. I've never seen hairy oak before. Really nice.
Dave.
Nice!!!
I've often thought about doing an all Osage Hill style bow.
That "hairy oak" accent is really nice too. I've never heard of that type of oak before.
I guess it's ok:) Seen one almost just like it at a bow shop in Turkey Foot, Australia when I was over there:)
Love that wood combo, the accent is perfect!

Folks that 'hairy oak' is one of a species call allocasuarina or casuarina for short. It is indemic to australasia, and south asia. Many varieties, one in particular a bit rare but has spectacular Flame like rays where this one has the dashes. The common name 'hairy oak' refers to the fibrous bark on the tree being naturally 'hairy'Also it is not a true oak at all.
