I finally got home all the logs that I set aside from a job I was on. I was able to convince one of my operators to split them into pieces I could handle to. Who says elm is hard to split? I quartered two 28 inch across logs in about five minutes. Haha.

I even convinced him to load em for me. I filled the 8ft. bed twice with elm, black locust, cherry and maple.
If only it was osage
Dave that should keep you out of trouble for a spell.
Wow what a haul! Nothin' like mechanical aids to make life easier too!
My how things change! Feels like only a few months ago that ol' Dave was dead-set against using even a belt sander! Now he's got the most expensive log splitter I've ever seen! :goldtooth:
Cheater... LOL
I'm with Roy on this one... that's just not right.
Just when ya think you've seen it all...lol...a few years + of bowyering n giving aways right there
The old saying goes, "Work smarter, not harder."
I don't normally cheat like that, but... I'm not against taking advantage of the situation. The boss said they had to be gone and why not right. I still need to split out staves by hand and peel bark and sapwood and seal and yada yada yada, bit all together I ended up with one 15 in. cherry, two 12 in. black locust, three 20+ in. logs of elm and two 8 in. Elm logs. I still need to get the maple and another elm still there, but I may not I have more than I can store until I get to my farm where I keep the big stash. :D
Scott, if you want to see me kick it old school, come on by and bring your wedges! There's plenty of time for traditional no. Lol
To quote a great movie," my hypocrisy only knows no bounds.".
:goldtooth:
I'll try and get a video the next time. It's pretty impressive to see a log that big pop in talk in a few seconds.
Great score, looks like your good to go for awhile.
NO COMMENT..... And to think you wuz my idol, my hero. I'm so sad at this moment I think I'm gonna tear your picture off my bow shop wall, and put it on the Out House wall.
I love that log splitter. The bigger the toys, the more fun they are to play with!.
Dave.

Thank you for the help.. Hope you like the video.
Thanks LMAO
I gotta admit, that is cool as hell.... Doesn't mean I have to like it though. :nono:
VB, just click on the picture and the video plays.
I am running fire fox.
The video is nutten special, just shows how a sissy pants self bow guy from O' Fallon, Missouri cheats on splitten staves:)
That machine can dog holes roo Roy...
What's dog holes roo? :)
You don't want to know! Lol
Man that's one He!! of a log spiltter!!!
I have a log splitter that mounts on the tractor three point hitch and connects to the power take off. Guess I could cheat a little myself. But I wanna be a traditional bowyer:)
Where in the rule book does it say how you have to split logs. Men from Missouri are just smarter, or in Dave's case luckier, to be able to use equipment like that. :bigsmyl: Also shows how old Dave is starting to get.
LOL
I'm only old in age Dan. My mind is as young as a toddler's. I do however feel like I've been ran over by my splitter someday though.
Roy, you can't be traditional till you stop sniffing glue.
Dave yer still wet behint the ears:)
