Got home from work today and there was this long package sitting in the living room. Inside was an awesome Osage self bow that Chris made for me. We took some pictures and I was gonna go shoot it, when the phone rang. I got called back to work for a meeting with my upper level two managers. That only took 3 hours. Anyway here she is, 41+ # at 27 inches.. Thanks Chris for the great bow, Roy

That wagon wheel bout gave me a heart attack. It makes that bottom limb look stiff...whew...
Outstanding, great work Pearly.

Kenny sent the dress to me after he out grew it:) Told him I wanted to make arm guards and quivers out of it. But it had such a funky smell that I hung it up to air out... :nono:

(I ain't even gonna comment on the dress thing.)
I heard about it,now I see it.
I guess its OK.
(the bow I mean)
Your back on the list, Chuck:)
Ill call the bluff. I don't think he'll do one in a loin cloth.
Beautiful bow btw.
Nice, Pearl.
Roy, I'm glad there's no Coors in the pics with the buckskin dress!

Fine by me as long as I get a sourkraut handle wrap ol' man. My dads a butcher, ya' aint gonna run me off with some ol' meat pictures. Its all meat and thats all it is, thats what dad taught me.
I kin do that, made sauerkraut here last August with cabbage from the garden.
Great Looking bow, Pearl Drums

Now you did it. I guess he isn't a closet hack lover now! Haha.
Sweet bow anyway. Just a shame it couldn't have been in a man weight range though, but I guess you had to go with what samsquatch wanted. :biglaugh:
Roy, I only gave you my old dress because you promised to wear it, not keep it on the wall as a reminder of how much you miss me when I'm not online. Bit I understand if the leather is to rough on your saintly little flower skin. We all know you prefer your dress made from silk. :deadhorse:
That bow was my second try Dave, first one came out too heavy.....
Nope, can't stand to touch silk. Gives me goose bumps.
Another beaut for sure. Good job pearly!
The Osage sweetie Pearly Boy sent me. Sure is a shooter:) It's a video, just click on the picture to play video.

Nice job Pearl!!
Kevin if it makes ya feel better, I didn't have any undies on:)
Again......
"Depends" still count as undies, Roy:)
OH VB, you just shot to the top of the thumpen list son:)
Lol, must be why u looked so relaxed! :biglaugh:
Form looked good and the bow looks great, but I noticed Ol Roy didn't show the results of the shots. Wonder how many holes he put in the wall.

Roy looks like the wife can shoot pretty good.
Rob
Yep Scott I made it out of cardboard, 4' long by 18" wide. I've had it for many years, as one spot gets shot up, I just move the sheets around and it's like new again. That target must have 10,000 shots in it.
I have it mounted on an old coffee table, put a 1 X 12 board on top, leaving it stick out 2 inches on each end, then placed a 4 foot piece of 2 inch angle iron in the center of the board, then ran 4 foot long all thread bolts down the edges and cranked it down tight to another piece of angle iron under the coffee table. With the card board, many times the arrow slides into one of the corrugated holes of the card board, so it really doesn't tear it up a lot.
One problem I have had is when shooting bare shaft woodies, if the shafts are way out of spine, it has caused some to break, as the arrows are flying at quite an angle when they hit.
