However... I missed my target weight... No shocker there, but my son is obviously delighted with my "failure". :) He can really shoot it as well. Its Hickory backed Hickory with Babinga (sp?)and Curly Maple handle and tip overlays. It was a joy to build and I learned a few more lessons along the way. It was a joy to build.

Very nice! Your boy has good form, keep a bow in his hand and he will be a force! I wish I would of started shooting that young.
Nice job! He looks happy.

Great bow, and a lucky kid to have such a great bow at a young age.

Great job. That young man looks as if he knows what he's doing.

looks like he is pulling about 25"...give or take, what kind of weight does that bow pull?
Looks great! Congrats on getting a shooter.

Well.... It broke today... One little "tick" and it came apart. It didn't hurt him or scare him. It scared me. I guess I know what my next bow project is... Back to the drawing board... I did get a nice Boo Backed Hickory finished today. Its a shooter and I ended up 50# at 26".
