That is one sweet lookin' bow!!!
Nice,,, I like it!
Nice job. Very unique look to that one.
Very sweet Bow..
Great looking bow Snakewood. Very nice tiller and great overall package.Sinewed Juniper makes for very fun shooting bows. When they are shorties like that they perfom better and are great close quarter hunting bows.Congratulations.
That is definitely a beauty!!! Looks like a lotta fun to shoot. That is a huge copperhead, Ive never seen one over 32 inches around here, never seen one that dark either.

Sweet thing there!
Thank you for making a juniper bow with some realistic looking tips! I'm lovin' the snake's head too. Very cool. James
Very nice, like them paws. Bue--. :clapper:
Thanks everyone ! I really enjoyed making this one. The stave was gifted to me and narrower then I would have prefered. It does shoot quite well.
It looks like an instant classic to me.... great job.
Great job on that one, I really like the art work on the belly. Beautiful bow!
Crazy sweet little bow. Very nice work!
Nice bow Charles. Dig the art work.
I'm also liking stone pile. Whatchya make from them stones??
CTT
Cool looking how Charles. Those copperhead are always nice. I like the handle wrap too. That's the first time I've seen a shelf made from string. Nice job.
Art! Straight up art!
Thats an awesome bow, beautiful!
I'm with DVS, snakewood! I like the string used as an arrow shelf. Nice set up.
Thanks again everyone !
The rawhide string works great as a semi shelf. The arrow is still mostly being shot off the hand. The string wrap mostly gives the hand a reference grip.
Chuck, the rock is Alibates flint (agate) I collect from a private ranch. It is some wonderful material, need any ?
Beeeeeeeaaauutiful!
Great job
Pure art!!!
That is a sweet bow and great detail work!!!
Looks like that snake swallowed a mouse :)

WOW!
That is a very cool looking bow!
:notworthy:
Nicely done, and beautiful!
Very cool and unique- I'd still love to see what Lex and yourself could do with a '68 Bonnville or a hardtail Chief
Dang Snakewood, that bow is STUNNING!! I can't quit looking at it. You make some great stuff but I think this bow tops them all!!
Inspiring bow Snakewood. Man that was one big copperhead. I have never seen one over three feet.
Did you sinew it before you started tillering or during the tiller process?
About 900 grains dry weight Elk back sinew. Floor tillered just barely bending prior to sinew.
Awesome!
The paw prints are an awesome touch. Great looking bow. Good to see another young gun in the trad game as well
Great looking bow really like the belly you did a great job.
Rob
Thanks again everyone for the compliments !!!
The sinew has now pulled the bow into 3 inches of reflex. This is with TB 3. Maybe hide glue would have allowed the sinew to pull more reflex but much past this would bring about stability issues. I'm quite pleased with the TB 3 /sinew combination.

Wow! That is one unique and beautiful bow. Excellent job!
man that is one awesome looking bow i love the snake skins
WHAT!!!!!
Aparently you werent listenin, when they told ya that TB3 and sinew aint worth it and that it WONT draw it into reflex.LOL!!!!!!
I see a hint Of Ed Scott influence in the bow in other areas as well.Do you know Ed?
Thanks everyone.
Traxx, Yes, Ed has influenced my work. I have visited with him and have provided him with snake skins for many years.
Nice looking bow. You could thin those static tips down quite a bit I'd think and still have them stiff ... you'd gain some speed I think.
Nice lookign bow though.
The static tips are about where they need to be due to the knot and the increased poundage of the reflex. I have brought the tips down on other sinew / juniper bows and have had problems with twist. Juniper being such a low mass wood will not show much, if any, improvement from reducing the tips too far.
