Title: Ever skin a boo backed bow?
Post by: perry f. on September 15, 2012, 11:13:00 PM
I have a boo backed bow that is pretty light in color. I'm thinking of doing something to it for hunting purposes. Anyone ever put a snake skins over bamboo? Pictures or other ideas would be helpful

I have done several.  Just like putting a skin on anything else. Just be careful at the nodes and make sure you have good adhesion.

Yeah I've done one before too.  Put a python skin on one.  Glued it with TBIII and was just its been on there for a year and its is still hanging in there.

Except I would used liquid hide glue. You can fix bubbles and stuff. Rub it down with a dowel rod or suitable tool like a veneer hammer while applying and it will stay stuck. Use fresh glue.
