Im getting ready to glue up a block and cut some lams out of it. I would like to try and get the angle cut style like those action wood lams....
I figured I would cut a angle on one side then true it up on the other, then cut the lams and grind them... Do you guys think I'm on the right track to achieve the angle cut style?
Just trying to avoid a bunch of waste.... Any other tricks or ideas?
On awood,,I set saw blade at 2*, and have a jig I clamp the 2x2 block to that sets it out 3/8" at rear of jig...
Then when you get the angle look you want, put the angle cut down, set saw to 90* and square sides up.
Need to start with about 1/4" more than width you want to get.
Juat a compound angle, not too hard to do!
Thanks Kenny, I would have gone about that the long way... That will make it easier...
