Title: what woods can I use

I KNOW YOU CAN USE MAPPLE  HICKERY.  WHAT OTHER  WOOD CAN I USE FOE TAPERS  AND PAR. CAN YOU MIX THEM UP, SAY MAPPEL FOR TAPERS AND HICKERY FOR PAR, THANK YOU BUCK

I have used bamboo, walnut , maple , and poplar and cedar for lighter weight bows. I think about any wood will do as long as it is not too brittle and can stand up to some compression. I know also Osage yew and elm work great and you can use about any combination.

In addition to the woods rmorris mentioned, black cherry works well too.  I've used cherry in combination with hard maple and actionboo, both tapered and parallel.
