Title: snake skins and application

I decided I want to put some skins on a snakey bumpy back osage bow I have but first where is the best place to buy them and is there another link where I can "see" how to do it?

Leave out the superglue step, it is unnecesary.

I agree with Eric on leaving out the superglue.  I tried it and it left a white haze over the skins.

Great how to!

I have one bow without tip overlays I was thinking about skinning.  Do you: stop the skin short of where the string lays, skin it right to the tip, or put on tip overlays first?

Thom, you can do it however you like.  Here is a pic where the skin is taken all the way to the end, no overlays on hackberry bow:

Slick! Thanks for replying and posting that pic! All things being equal, this would be the best one for me with this particular bow.

thank you very much for the info. wheres the best place to get skins now,, even someone with a variety or different types would be very cool.
