I just finished this one and snapped a few camera phone shots.is 63ntn and pulls 42@28. the limbs are about half and half sapwood and heartwood. I added a woma skin over the back for some camo.

Slick looking bow. The color combo really pops on that one.

Great job! :clapper: :clapper:
Very nice work!
Very nice as always DVS....those skins really set it off nicely!
I'm assuming that there's no ring chasing on the sapwood and I've peeled/pryed/and cussed some of that ironclad sapwood off many times from staves that I left it on, so it stands to reason that it would make a good bow backing. Let us know how she holds up and shoots.
Not bad )
sweet
Looks good!
Very nice, Dave. But, what's a 'woma'? I hope you didn't mispell woman. LOL!
Very nice DV.... using the sapwood is there a difference in the way it shoots? The contrast on the edges looks cool!!
I like the look of the heartwood to heartwood tips... Can't wait fo the money shot :)

Thanks everyone. The sapwood on Osage makes good bows. this one shoots well. I do wish I had made it a bit shorter, but I didn't have the width that I wanted so I have it some extra length. With most of the sapwood bows I make I always chase a ring, heck, I chase a ring on every view I make.i figure it is safer. I tried to not chase one on the last sapwood bow and the ring ended up cracking so I chased one after the bow was finished.
Dean, I'll have it at mojam if you want to see it.I'm leaving Wednesday night our Thursday morning. See you there.
Stan, no woman :) Kip has it. Woma is a python.
Thanks for the PC Kip
Thats a beauty! The contrast in colors looks great!
Very cool pix, Kipper Ole Boy.
Now Red, wuz dat supposed to be funny? :) LOL
Thanks Jamey. I can't wait to see it get darker.
Woman skin is to oily for bows and far to soft...most of the time. It has better uses too. :goldtooth:
I like that, wish it was 60 lbs I would have you send it to me to moose hunt with this fall.
Mike
Sounds like something new for me to try. your bow does shine.
Nice bow.
