I am still pretty new to this bow building thing but I've got to say in all my 60 years I don't believe I've been involved with a nicer more giving group....
Today USPS shows up with a box that weighs 10/15#s guessing.... This is what I found inside.
You all know Ralph Morris and have seen some of the great laminated bows he builds... well have you ever wondered where all that pretty wood goes that is cut away to build a riser ???
Thank you Ralph... I'll try to do these justice :)

I am ENVIOUS! I can't wait to see what you make.
Kip I am sure you will do great things. For the last few years I have given all my scrap wood to a friend that makes knives and a friend who turns pens. Each has finally said enough so I am now forced to find other ways to get rid of my scrap wood. I am sure all the glass makers have similar problems but I figured you self bow makers would be about the only other people who could use this scrap wood for tips and small overlays. I got a few more of you ole boys in mind to send a box of scrap wood to so onece I collect some more start watching your doorsteps. This is my small way of giving back to a wonderful community.
yes, i am wondering about it as well.
i really want to see what you are gonna build up.
best.
Some of that rose wood and marble wood looks like scraps from the beautiful bow and turkey call that Ralph made for me for this years swap. I can attest first hand to the quality of his work, a true craftsman in the bowyers art....Dan
