Title: Binghams 62" Hybrid??
Post by: Schmidtster on July 04, 2012, 09:01:00 PM
Has anyone tried the binghams 62" hybrid? I'm looking to make my first fiberglass laminate and liked the look of it and was wondering how it shoots. the only other bows I've done are 64" red oak board. And a 52" ttt deer rawhide maple holmie that I still need to post. anyway just wondering if the hybrid is a good one to try out?

I built one of these as my first bow. Mine is hard maple with a natural coreflex/superaction riser and black bo-tuff. It turned out pretty good and is a consistent shooter. I don't how fast it is, but it is fairly quiet without much string shock.

But this is the first bow I have ever really shot so take my advise with a grain of salt  :)

Check out KennyM over at Kenny's custom archery, he has a good longbow design with plans and can furinsh everything you need for the build. He is always available if you have a problem.

i've made 2 and they both came out pretty good. the one's i made were smooth, fast, and quiet.

i do like the looks of kennym's design and my next project will be a bow form off that template.
