First bow, 8 year makeover. I bought the stave for this hickory bow in 1994 at Marshall. I hunted bear that year with it and later turkey and deer. No success. These are pics of how it looked early this spring:

As you can see the Brown Bear was a beast and quite crude.
So this year my buddy KHALVERSON and I decided to visit Marshall, where this began 8 years ago. With the help of Pearl Drums, blackmockingbird, Chuck Deshler, and Kevin I was able to transform this into a sweet shooter. The Grey Owl:

The bow is 3/8" narrower, 2" shorter, and has a hickory slat glued to the bottom belly to strengthen it. Around 50#@28". I saved the shelf leather from the original to use on the makeover. Thanks to the guys for all their help, and thanks for looking.
