Title: Another one bites the dust

Went and bought a Red Oak board.Cut it to 3/8" thick x 1 1/4" tappered down to 1/2" x 48" long.Got it to where I was ready to cut the shelf in and sand it.Decided to fuss with one limb alittle more and KaBoom.I'm gald it did it now and not while he was shootin it.Oh well I'll start another tomorrow.

BTW it was pulling 20# at 15".

Show some pictures of the break. My guess is the grain was poor. Jawge

It was, it broke right where the grain ran off.I cut the next one so the run out was in the handle.I'll look the next ones over alittle closer before I buy them.
