Thanks guys , much appreceiated!!
I just dyed curly maple lams hot pink last week. Use rit dye rose pink and add some rit dye wine till I got the color I wanted. Mixed it with denatured alcohol. The lams were really vivid hot pink. But they muted down to an orangish pink under the glass. I liked the color better, but it wasn't hot pink. If you dye, do a sample with some scap clear glass first, I'm sure you have some laying around.
These photos are of my daughters new take down, this set of limbs use shallow angle cut Fuscia Dymonwood & the riser is Mulberry Dymonwood which has Fuscia in it.

I'm working with some Pink Ivory given to me by a customer. I highly recomend it but cannot find any in the length and width needed for limbs or veneers. Looks beautiful sandwitched between two pieces of Wenge for a riser.
I special ordered some pink spectra, will let you'all know how it looks when it comes in.
I can't wait:)
I said spectra, son , not spandex, so don't get excited there, it ain't fer you..... :D

:clapper:
That sure lets ur imagination run wild.... :scared: whew...
Try poke berries for a natural dye. You can just collect a "mess" of them, crush them in a jar and strain the pulp out and use the fresh juice as a water base dye or dry the berries in the sun (or oven) pulverize the dry berries and disolve in denatured alcohol strain and use. The alcohol dye is more work but will not raise the grain on your wood nearly like water based dye will.
Mike, my imagination just ran in the back room and locked the door! :scared:
Well just added a couple more to the thumpen list. :deadhorse:
