Title: smooth finish with fake snake skins
Post by: JGL on June 19, 2012, 09:59:00 PM
I'm working on finishing my trade today and am having a hard time getting a good looking finish on the fake skins. really i have deft lacquer spray some minwax spar urethane and teak oil what would yall think would give me the best finish i have a couple coats of deft on it now and it looks fuzzy.      :knothead:    I don't know what i should do i can get some different stuff at lowes      :banghead:    so close to being finished this little thing is driving me crazy

you probably need to sand with 300 or finer and do several more coats of deft. Deft is a laquer and the spar won't jive with it at all. Don't ask me how I know LOL

Deft is great finish you just need to sand between coats and use several on the backing that you used.
