Title: Artifical sinew bow string
Post by: Dell M on June 17, 2012, 01:06:00 PM
I got some 70lb. artifical sinew from 3 rivers, advertised as acceptable for bow strings. I made a string using my usual formula - so many strands per bow weight. I ended up with a small rope, diaameter much larger than B-50 string. Any one tried this and how many strands, ie, 30-40-50 lb. bows?

never tried that; but 6x bow weight is pretty normal as I recall
