Title: Wood by colors - who knows them?

Split some logs today that I cut down about 2 months ago...

Anyone want to guess the wood types?

Winner can have a free stave after they dry - of course you have to drive to Nebraska and get it    :D

I'm gonna say... Cherry, Walnut, Cedar, Ummm maybe Walnut, and Locust.

From far left...

ERC, locust, locust, walnut, ERC, hackberry, mulberry.

Not only are the colors different for each, but the smells are unique too.  Can't do that one on the forum!

I should get some kinda bonus prize for being the only one to guess that hackberry right, that one couldve been any whitewood  :) . You're definitely right about each one having a distinct smell, especially osage and locust.
