Title: Veneer splicing???
Post by: BrushWolf on April 22, 2012, 12:25:00 PM
I've been looking at some of the posts where you guys have spliced veneers and I was wondering.... Does the splice effect the poundage (+/-) of your limb? I was worried it might add to the weight because of the glue joint. I thought about trying it with some pieces that aren't quite long enough without a splice. Thanks!

I have not noticed anything different.  But also remember the veneer is a small portion of the stack.. the fiberglass is doing all the hard work.. then there is usually a parallel and a taper under the veneer.
