Post by: Flyboy718 on April 21, 2012, 07:56:00 PM
Can I use this as a backing in lieu of bamboo?

Well since they are both bamboo I could work but. There is a section in TBBI or II that talks about doing a backing in boo strips but I can't remember which one it was.

I mostly use Bamboo for backing. I think some strips of cane could work on kids bows.
I'd be leery on heavy bows, basically I'm saying if a wood needs backed it needs a tough backing.
