I have a monarch longbow that has green dyed feather wood for the limbs. Very pretty and somewhat unique. Does anyone know what feather wood actually is, maybe hickory cut cross grain?

Looks like some American elm ?? Not sure tho.
After lookin that up, I think I'm wrong on that! :dunno:
I thought it was elm also at first but the grain is pretty course for elm. Somebody must know.
I might pick up a scrap of hickory and cut it to see what it looks like angle cut.
