Title: featherwood
Post by: SL on March 20, 2012, 07:48:00 PM
I have a monarch longbow that has green dyed feather wood for the limbs. Very pretty and somewhat unique. Does anyone know what feather wood actually is, maybe hickory cut cross grain?

I thought it was elm also at first but the grain is pretty course for elm. Somebody must know.
I might pick up a scrap of hickory and cut it to see what it looks like angle cut.
