Title: Anyone in Huntsville AL with a bandsaw?
Post by: ballen28115 on March 14, 2012, 08:21:00 AM
I tried this post up in the Pow Wow, maybe should have tried here first.  I've got a TD riser and I want to alter the profile. Would anyone in the Huntsville area mind letting me use your bandsaw for 5 or 10 minutes? Thank you!

Bert, you can use mine but you would have to come to Albuquerque, NM. If you cant find one another options is $25 worth of files. You would be amazed how quickly you can remove material with some good wood files. I am sure you know what you are doing but I am cautious myself if using power tools on a finished product because they remove material soo quickly I prefer to sneak up slowly on a modification project. Oh and by the way please post some pictures of the before and after we all lover to see that kind of stuff.

Hey Ralph, thank you for the note.  I've got the files, was just hoping to make some flat cuts on this riser.  Thanks for the invitation to post my before and after pics.

A local high school with a wood shop might help you or any local cabinet maker? Or Pa is closer than New Mexico:)
