Title: Brothers R/D Finished
Post by: Glunt on March 13, 2012, 12:03:00 AM
My brother and I just finished this one up for a keeper bow for him.  Came out sharp. Probably need to cover the boo on the back for hunting but I think its sorta classic looking. Second bow off this form and I'm liking it.  Its a mild R/D that just seems easy to shoot.  No idea on speed, but seems decently fast.

62", 53 @ 28, 18" riser, .004 taper

Honduran rosewood &  Argentine osage riser, Actionboo cores, natural boo veneers under glass.

Whats a good method for staining natural boo on the next one?

That's a beauty for sure.   Use alcohol stain or shoe leather dyes they seem to work well.

Nice job.  I really like it elegant and yet not overstated, very pretty bow.
