This is a new bow off a form I made a couple years ago which I called the model 1. I used a bunch of different misc. materials I had and wanted to use up.
I had a couple pairs of actionwood lams (used as a core), an actionwood handle which I laminated a few strips of actionwood lams in and a red phenolic piece in and I used some curly maple lams that I stained with Fieblings Oxblood stain. I used some old clear glass that has some streaks in it (which are noticable but not too bad in the finished product).
Specs are:
-59# @ 28", 60" ntn
-17" riser
-.380 total lam stack (butt thickness) which consists of .050 back glass, .040 belly glass, actionwood core, curly maple veneers.
-Total taper of .003" per inch
-Actionwood tip wedges extending 1.5" past nock...cant even hardly pick them out in the final bow.
-Tip overlays are clear glass, red phenolic, clear glass
-True-oil seal with TB epoxy-flat finish
-D-97 10 strand string, velcro rest
-Weighs in a little over 1 lb.
Here are some pics. As always, helpful critique is welcomed and invited.
Thanks

You sure have a knack for the bow building thing...nice job!
That is slick! Working on drawing up something similar in hopes of getting a shorter hybrid that will draw smooth to 30". Can't find anything to critique on yours, but I am shamelessly saving these pics in my ideas folder!
Well...........I guess it's ok for a scrap bow. :notworthy:
I like it!
Awesome Brad! The grip looks great and the red lams look really nice with that riser. :clapper:
That grip is about perfect!!! Great job, I really enjoy my hybrids and yours looks like it should be quick and forgiving :)
:archer2:
really good lookin bow, especially the contour right under the shelf, and the fwd. grip... spot on.
Thanks. Of all the forms I have built over the last few years, this is my favorite. I have made every bow so far 60", but I would like to try a 58" or 56" even...and see how they turn out. Given the string angle at the draw, I think I have a bit to work with still.
That bow has a fantastic profile, both unstrung and drawn. Nice work as usual, Brad!
Beautiful bow. At first glance it reminds me of a Hill Country Harvest Master. Well done Sir!
awesome looking bow good job.
Great looking bow,Brad.Really like the lines and profile.
Outstanding as always, Brad you build a fine looking bow.
That turned out really nice. I really like those limbs.
