i would like to make it take down since it is too long to fit in a car. 172cm.
i am planning to cut in the middle of the handle and on the backing side, place a steel like material with screews with nuts.
do you think this plan work? or what should i do?
with 3.2 cm and handle 23 cm.
shoot at 45 - 55 #
best.
Depends on what tools you have available and your level of expertise. If money is not an issue, I would install a bow bolt. When its done, you simply twist the handle 1/4 turn and it pulls apart. That way there are no nuts or hinges to make the bow ugly. I think they sell for about $90 USD which I think is about 150-160 lira.
That's just me though.
Take a look at Big Jim's Bow company- he has a video build along that shows how to make a two piece TD.
The solution is simple! You need a bigger vehicle!! :smileystooges:
Dave.
The Robertson, Connexion is the easiest and most reliable retro-fit that I have found. The Bow Bolt and Big Jims method both work fine, but there is a good chance the riser may not be strong enough for those methods.
thanks for everybody.
well i need bigger car. that's for sure. :)
i will check about the bow bolt and see if i can find and install one.
but the problem i think, handle was not designed for the being take down.
i do not know anything about Connexion. FGI but google didn't say anything in a way i am looking.
best.
