Title: Foam bow cores
Post by: hunting badger on February 09, 2012, 11:26:00 PM
I'm looking for information on building limbs with foam lams. I've build bows with wood lams but a friend of mine wants me to build him a bow with foam because he wants to use it in the rain forest of SE Alaska and wants a limb impervious to moisture. Any help would be appreciated, as taper rate, stack and where to purchase foam lams or where I could get such help. Thanks guys!!

You can buy them from Dale Stahl 215-379-1090.  Dale has all the hard to get stuff.

They are the same as using wood for the core just grind them up and put them in the bow.

hope this helps and good luck!
