More pics!
Any build-along type pics, the tip flipping/sinewing process, etc. would be great.

Did you steam the tips to flip, or use dry heat?
Is there any heartwood in there?  Hard to see from the full draw, which looks pretty even to me, by the way...
What's the draw weight?

Thanks for sharing, nice bow.

Mike

Mike its from a stave from a tree I cut. I decrowned and reduced some sapwood off so there wood be a heartwood belly. It was sinewed last year early july. I boiled the tips to flip them..it worked like a charm n bent like butter with no splinters at all. By feel the weight is up in the upper 50's to maybe 60 lbs. Once I finish her up ill post more pics...but untill then your gonna have to do with this one pic. I figured the money shot wood hold some folks over of wanting more bow porn.

Your pic is too big. 640x480 is max!

I have a 49" ERC sap/heartwood bow cut out that I plan to sinew. Yours looks very good. How does it shoot?

Hey pat,thanks..ill see if I can edit the size down in photobucket.

This thing rocks and has excellent cast. It weighs a mere 12 ounces. I started with 1 3/4" of setback and after all was said n done it has 3/4" of setback immediatley after unstrung, and twenty mins later its at an inch where it stays. The low set and quick return tells me its a great combo and an exceptional piece of wood. Hope she lasts a good long while cus this ones going in with my personal bows for hunting. And it takes a lot for a bow to make that cut with my high standards.

By the way its me...chris aka...blackhawk over on PA...I signed up here to play a good joke on pearly...lol. by the way he gave me some of that mongolian tulipwood that I made a fine bow out of...... :)

Welcome to TG, Chris. Get Pearlie good!
I bet if everyone used the same user name on every site I wouldn't know half as many folks as I think I do! d;^)

Sporthunter its a pyramid front profile. Its 1.900" wide at the fades and tapers straight from the fades to 3/8" tips. The handle is just under 1.5" wide. Pyramids are beautiful, fast, and a breeze to tiller.

Azshooter...its upper 50's n maybe almost 60 @ 24". I never weighed it after I had it out to full draw...I just know by feel. And I prob wont weigh itcus it feels and shoots great and that's all that matters to me.

Pat the only reason I used a different handle name here was to be able to prank pearlie and pay him back for a lil joke he played on me. But I got him twice in one week so now I got one coming back to me from him

After fanagling with skins or cherry bark and even a combo of the two I decided against it and went ahead and gave her a candy dye and paint job. Here's a limb with wet paint still on it.
