Title: Delaminated bow ideas????
Post by: tarponnut on January 15, 2012, 02:21:00 PM
I had a longbow delaminate about a year ago.
(I left it strung in a car in Miami when it was 88 degrees).
It's beyond repair.
Any ideas on what I can do with it?(besides firewood)
It has some sentimental value to me and it's too pretty to trash.
Would it be possible to use the riser/handle to build off of?

Got pics?

You could heat the handle area up and slip the rest of the glue, dress the handle and rebuild with new parts...

If you had pics it would help but this is not a hard fix. Most bowbuilders could rebuild this bow using the riser and new limbs cheaper than building the bow from scratch. I have done three in the last several months. If you want to do it yourslef and need some help PM me, be glad to help.
