I recently finished a bow for my youngest son, Zach. It's been a few years since I've laminated one and had a great time doing it. It will go under the tree for Christmas. It's 54" nock to nock, 17# @ 20". Bubinga riser with maple laminations and black glass.
Thank everyone for sharing your bows and build alongs. They are fun and very informational.

Wow-that is a beauty!!
Very nice bow. He'll be the envy of all his friends.
One question though....So you let Zach handle it and draw it for a pic, but now you're going to stash it away until Christmas? That would drive me nuts if I were him.
I should have mentioned that above, his older brother is posing in the picture. That would drive me nuts also.
OK, that makes sense. It will be a real nice Christmas morning for your son. Make sure you post some pics of when he first sees it.
He's will be the happiest young man in the neighborhood! Be prepared to outfit some of his friends(and dads) in the near future!! Great job, mike
Sweet gift! Post some pics taken as he is opening it Christmas morning. Nice dangling beard on the wall, gorgeous tom.
The wood in this bow is absolutely gorgeous! Jay brought it down to our cabin when he finished it (I'm Jay's dad), and it's really a fine piece of work. Zach truly will be the envy of the neighborhood kids!
