You guys might have thought I gave it up...but I am still at it...just a little slower. Here is a new Hill I just finished up:
66" 75# @ 28" (miscalculated the lam stack a little I suppose)
12" Bocote riser, 4 lams of bamboo and myrtle veneers I got as a gift from another Trad Ganger. Deer skin handle.
Brown glass on the back with overlays of clear glass, red glass and cow horn. I trapped the back on this one instead of the belly and I like it quite a bit. Several coats of tru-oil to seal and then Thunderbird flat as a final finish. Here are some pics

well that is a sleek looking bow. Smooth I hope she shoots as good as she looks.
Yeah, once I am able to get it past 25" I will be able to try it out....might be a few years
Great looking bow, very classy looking.
Was gonna ask about a full draw pic ,Brad! :bigsmyl:
Great lookin bow!
Nice bow, Brad! I sure appreciate your finish and detail work. Glad to see you're still at it. :)
Love the flow of the longbow looks. NICE work.
Bows like that are my inspiration for my next project. Granted it will have maple lams for the limbs since thats what I have but I am hopeful that the lines will be similarly graceful. THANKS FOR SHARING.
Super bow Brad!!! I really like the looks of it but I'd never get it strung-lol
May have to try some cow horn now.
Now that's a longbow!!!!
Very nice Bow.
Very nice!
Out of curiosity, what was your stack for this bow?
Beautiful work Brad.
Like those tips!!
this is very typical of Brads bows. Just absolutely stunning. Great Job Bud!!!
Nice looking bow brad. Glad to.see.you are still at it. I was beginning to wonder.
Thank Guys, the lam stack was .610 with a total taper per inch of .005 That is with the glass, which is .040 ULS on the back, .050 UL on the belly.
Very well done!!
I'd love to see a full draw picture :)
coaster, I'll run over to IL and between the two of us, we can get it drawn! :D
Not sure of our condition when drawn or what we'll do with it then!
Well done, Brad. Beautiful bow.
Kenny I'm thinkin LaClair style sittin on the ground, feet on the riser,,,, You know like a human cross bow. At 75#s I just might pull that off :biglaugh:
Brad, as always, sweet! Your a great craftsman/bowyer!
Looks great....wud love to shoot it!
"Yeah, once I am able to get it past 25" I will be able to try it out....might be a few years "
That made me laugh...I was thinking it would be sweet to shoot that bow, if I could only pull it back! That is a really neat bow, you should be very pleased with your work.
Looks flawless from here bud! Nice job!
