Finished this one a 5-6 days ago. Its 57" ntn, 58# plus @ 28" osage static curve. I backed it with very thin rawhide and used whitetail antler for the tips, I love my FF strings. I double lunged a buck Saturday night with the young lady already, must be a lucky one! Thats a beauty and congrats on the harvest.
Great job on the bow, looks like it has some mojo.
Nice Chris,
Real pretty bow! How did you get the rawhide to look like snakeskin? Or, was it a rawhide snakeskin?
That is Canebrake over the rawhide Monty. I forgot to mention that. I left the rawhide natural, I like that light color under the skins.
nice bow p.d., nice buck too! rv
Nice Bow Chris.. But your form sucks, elbow too high, wrist too low, head crooked, eyes crossed. Sweaty arm pits too.... How did ya ever get a deer? Could it see or smell? :) LMAO
Awesome lookin bow pearly. I got one that look just like it.
i really like the looks of canebreak over osage.
That's the way to go Pearly! Ol' Roy works better from visuals you know. Now that FF string is OK too! Only thing better than that is those 50/50 strings I make. Awesome bow and deer........Art
Very well done - on both the bow and buck!!!
Nice job indeed!!
Congrats on the Bow and the Buck!!!!
The skin look great :)

Dang PD... Your bows are getting sweeter by leaps and bounds! That band saw must have you twitching at night or something. Did you really flip those tips that much? Looks like a true performer.
I used steam John. Each tip was steamed about 70-80 minutes. After they sat in forms over night I used deep, dry heat to make sure they stayed put prior to releasing them. They didnt move a bit, and still havent.

Great harvest with a stick and a great looking stick!
How wide are those limbs?
Joe the limbs are 1 1 1/4" wide for about 2/3's their length. The tips are about 5/8" wide, maybe a pinch less. The pics from our 2 dollar camera are skewed. They make the bow look wider and shorter.
Thanks for all the kind words everybody, appreciate it.
great Job Pearly
