Title: Service-berry (Saskatoon) tiller check

I have been saving this 68"ttt Saskatoon berry is what they call it here in Canada, Service-berry down south. Its 66"ntn 1 5/8 at the fades tapers to 1/2" 15" from tips. Bang on at present,  50#@28" still need to finish handle and grip clean up my tips and knocks getting some wrist slap.

Wonderful bend there CR! The left over heartwood looks awesome on the belly. Kind of has an elm look to it.

I was surprised how much of the heartwood remained on the belly. My work bench works good in small places and can move around but is very heavy top section is from a yew log a friend got out of a logging slash pail have tried to count growth rings they are really tight at lest 250 300 years looks cool when oiled. Kelly the stick and ring is my handle on the bottom of my scale.

Nice coloration contrast in that bow.

I had no idea that service berry was called saskatoon berry in CA.  Great little tidbit of info.  In the UP we called them sugar plums.
