We had a huge black walnut tree go down during the storm in our yard. Myself or my father can not cut it up. If there is anyone in the area that would like to have the wood just for cutting it up and hauling it away, it's yours. There is a perfectly straight section of at least 12 feet with limbs or knots and would make some awesome bow wood.
Thanks for the offer!
That would be great. Wish I lived closer!

Charles You might check into selling it to the local mills if You have any near by.
Kill to birds with one stone You know. Git rid of a downed tree and make a few bucks. Walnut brings a premium around here.
Nice of You to offer it to TradGanger's though. If I were closer I'd come help You with it. Good luck.

We have tried, and they will buy, but not come get it. My dad is 86, bad back and just can not do it, and neither can I with this vertigo stuff. I will kill myself trying to use a chain saw for sure. If I could, believe you me I would cut it up and haul it and make the money. But he and I can just not do it any more. So it is our loss for not being able to, but hopefully we will find someone to just take the tree for the value instead of having to pay out $800. to $1000 to have it removed. There is also a dead standing walnut tree that could be had for the taking.
Hope You get some takers. Good luck

Sorry my Family that could do that are down near Don in Boonesmill. I live just north of ya for a while in the tri-state area, on the WV side. Charles town, Harpersferry but I am from Boonesmill. Well I bet now that some know where you are they can better assist you. Heck should be someone needing some good fire wood if nothing else.
Have you considered listing it on craigslist? I know when I listed my old deck on there as "free as long as you come get it" I had 6 or 7 repsonses within 30 minutes.
I just did that jonathan. Thanks for reminding me.
I'm up in Fairfax. What's the diameter? Can you send a picture? I'll PM you my email.
canopyboy, PM returned.
Contact Marlin firearms. They have people who travel the country just buying walnut trees, and they pay a pretty hefty price for it too.
