Got a couple of spools of TS-1 coming for flemish strings. I am using Easton G nocks. What strand count should I use. I have been doing 12 strands of Dynaflight 97 with some nylon serving (not sure of the diameter) and .024 Halo over the nylon fairly tight. Seems to work on the G nock but signature nocks are a little tight. Thanks, Don
Anyone use TS-1? Don
Don, I have made mine 12 to 14 strand and used them on glass bows and on bbo bows with horn overlays. Very durable strings and very quiet. I have padded the loops with about 4 extra strands of b-50 just for insurance. I serve them with halo but unsure of the diameter. I use tie-on nock points above and below the arrow nock and twist them for a firm fit. I shoot 3 under and have no problems with nock fit or arrow flight.
Thanks Bruce, that will help alot. Don
Made a couple of 12 strand strings last night. They worked out good. Seemed to be much easier to work with than Dyna 97. The TS-1 did seem to stretch some after I put them on my bow. Shot a little before the rain set in today and it seemed a little quieter but time will tell. Thanks, Don
Yes, I have found them to settle for a few days. Then they are quite stable and very long lastIng. I tried them because they were supposed to be quieter. TS1 makes a nice string.
