I have two daughters ages 9 and 5. Last year I made my first laminated bow after making several board bows and a couple self bows. They currently shoot bows made from cpvc pipe and a boot lace, and I would like to make them some nicer laminated bows. I need some direction. My 9 year old has a 20.5" draw length and my 5 year old has a 16.5" draw length. What do i need as far as lam thickness, limb width, bow lenght, etc? Not sure what poundage they can pull but I doublt it would be much. Hoping to get them done for christmas. All help is appreciated. Thanks!
I made my boys a bow
2*.085@.001 taper
2*.040 glass
18 inche riser
Bow is 52 inches nock to nock. Start at riser tips down to half inch at the nocks.
I don't know.what it pulls but my 5,7 and 13 year old neighbors kid all shoot it...
Any questions just ask
Bingham has a nice plan for a laminated youth bow and can fix you up with the stack thickness
