I just finished this for a buddy. I have been tinkering with making bows for about a year, however this is the first one I started with my riser design, and built it start to finish knowing exactly what I wanted the end product to be.
64" 3 piece R/D longbow
#57 @28"
Desert camo riser with curly bubinga accent on grip and linen micarta limb face.
Limbs are flat grain desert camo with black and burgundy glass nocks with cocobolo overlay.
Next up is a bocote and zebra 3 piece for me.

All I can say is WOW! What a great looking bow.
Dave.
Thanks! It's a ton of fun to pull a bow out of a block of wood.
Very cool!
Iam tryin to build my first one and can only hope it looks half as good as yours!Great lookin bow!Your friend should be proud.
Very sweet looking bow for sure.
Nice lookin bow there. Is it really thin in the throat section or is it bigger than it looks? I try to keep the throat close to 5 in. circumference for saftey sake.
Great looking bow!
It looks thinner than it is in the throat. I don't have the numbers in front of me, but is plenty thick. That block is about the most dense and solid material I have ever seen. Makes solid bocote or cocobolo seem light and aerated...
Thanks guys. I'm going to try and get a few more started tonight.
If there is a vaccine to bow making don't tell my wife. I'm a heavy sleeper and she is sneaky when she wants to be!!!!
Isn't this a recurve or how am i wrong?

Nope, not a recurve.. string isn't touching limbs at brace..
