Title: Think this could be fixed?
Post by: Schmidtster on August 15, 2011, 08:13:00 PM
Was shooting the other day and pop, fiberglass popped off about an inch long on the belly. came off the lam very clean you can see there wasnt much if any glue in that spot. can I inject it with some epoxy and clamp it? When unstrung you cant even tell its there and the limb didnt twist.

I just did this to a bow, I actually used my heat gun (wifes hair drier shhhhh) heated it up from that point out to the tip started using a razor blade to separate the glass from the lam then stuffed it with smooth on clamped it and then put it under my heat lamp for 2 hrs... everything is perfect on it...... mythinkin would be if its loose right there, it may be loose on out as well??? just my .02 took me all of 20 min

Thanks! I'll give that a shot for sure. this was the third time I took this bow out. Luckily the warranty covers it and the supplier is sending me a new bow but they dont want this one back. if I can fix it and have two than why not right?
