Post by: SaMbO2 on August 08, 2011, 09:34:00 AM
Hello gang,

I am very interested in fiberglass static recurves but I need a few peaces of the puzzle filled in.

How do they bend the tips? during glue up? after glue up? just wanting a little information on this,    :knothead:   anything helps!    :help:

Thanks for your time, God Bless.

Do you have to steam the wood and fiberglass to make the bend or????

Thanks.

No steam, when making a fiberglass backed bow you use thin flexible  laminations of wood or bamboo and fiberglass. Look at some of the "build a longs"here on TG  and the DVDs from Binghams are a good start
