Oops! Just a word of warning: Dont list your bow in the classifieds unless you really want to sell it! Listed my Wapiti just to see what would happen, and now its sold! Leaves me in an interesting position: no bow, and about $700 to spend, and lots of options. I want to start shooting longbows, and have two libertys coming to me in a few days to test. Assuming I shoot them well, that is probably the bow I would buy. But I have always shot recurves, and may end up going that direction. Do not want to order a new bow unless its from Liberty or someone like them with a short wait, as this is my only bow. Any suggestions?

what weight are you looking for?
Josh
There not High dollar bows but you might want to take a look at Kohannah's. Bob has them in stock and I'm sure his waiting time is short for a made to order bow. I just ordered a Kurve he had in stock and it should be here buy Thursday.
I normally shoot 65-70# at my 31" draw. I want a 64" recurve or a 66" longbow. Just not sure which to get. Deerhntr, I will look at the Kohannahs. Thanks

With $700 you could get a heck of nice bow!
let me do some checking. There is a feller that I shoot indoor 3-D with that had a couple Morrisons he wanted to get rid of. We shoot tommorrow night. I'll see what he has left

Arwin-
I know, that is what makes this so difficult!!

Rose Oak bows are nice also and I have heard that he doesn't have a long waiting list also.
Black Widow has a short wait time.
I checked out the RoseOak Bows Yesterday, they are some Fine Looking Bows, and even a Po' Boy like Me could Buy One and end up with a Great Bow!!
Rose Oak is at the top of my list if I dont get a Liberty. I guess I will know more after I have the test bows to play with.

Thank you!
Sorry coyote, too short for me. 4runr, who is Mark Baker?
GUYS - please, PowWow isn't the forum do to bow business. It's fine to hash out what to get, but please restrict the actual getting and selling either via an offline PM or email, or take it to the Traditional Classifieds forum.
Thanx for your understanding.
Rob.
You cant go wrong with a Liberty. I bet his wait time will go up in the near future.
Brack,
Check out the Bow section on Tradgang. Theres a guy who has alot of longbow for sale.
All righty.
Including my favorite JD Berry Yaweh....Yahh Babbbbbyyyy..

OK,
First thing I see is your short at least 3 bows. maybe more. LOL If I had only one bow I'd be hard pressed to try to sell it. I have 10 bows (guessing without counting) currently. Of course add them all up I might make 700. Most of them are selfbows of my own making. I cannot imagine having one or none.
Good luck in your search.
I like my hornes traditionals and my navajo both are super longbows and the hornes custumor service is excellent they will bend over backwards for you .
If I do settle on a longbow(that is, if I can shoot one), It will be either a liberty or a Hornes. Recurves? Gotta love the Rose Oak bows, although I havent made up my mind on that yet. Yall are right though, its a sin to only have one bow. Thats what happens when you are a few years into a new business with two rugrats and a wife at home. Wouldnt trade it for any bow(or number of bowS) though.

Check out Cari-Bows. I shot one of his longbows at the Trad Expo East in K-Zoo and the was nothing I didn't like except I have my money set aside for something else and couldn't buy one. The thing I liked most was his longbows frip and how close the shelf was to the knuckle. I came close to busting the nocks on the arrows he loaned me to shoot it. I'll also pm you another bowyer's name you might consider.
Why not just go with a Bowyer in your home state such as a Wes Wallace or a Fox, who are probably two of the best nationwide. If I had that much money to spend, those are the two that I would focus on.JMO
BRACK you better get one soon before you start getting the jitters.Being bowless is not healthy.
