Title: Finished a BBO for my brother
Post by: K.S.TRAPPER on July 05, 2011, 07:08:00 AM
It's been several years since I built any bows but my lovely wife baught me a couple new saws and a belt sander to keep me out of her hair.    ;)

This is a 62" ntn and in the lower 50's.

I would like to show this bow at full draw but I had a heart valve replaced a couple of months ago and I'm not pulling bows yet but getting close.    :D

My brother shoots 27" and this is pulled to 26".

I stained the nodes a little for some camo look.

It sure felt good to be building bows again, I have a couple more almost done for my twin nephews plus a couple more BBO's and BBH's to keep me busy for a while. Thanks for looking!

Tracy

As far as I can tell the bow looks great, my eyes were too busy picking through all the stuff in the background.

It's like an amazing wall of carnage. I love the bow and the shop.

Real nice K. Yeah, the pic is a little busy!

Please take another pic, bow only, sir. Do your work proud.  :bigsmyl:

Do you still have the Shultz style bow Charlie made?

That's evidence of a true love for the outdoors and a shrine to pay homage to all the wild things.

Thanks guys!! I always try to throw in some kind of back ground with my picks but you guys are right it is a little to busy and blends in to much.

It didn't look that bad when I was taking the picks  :knothead:  Here's a couple of better picks I hope   :D

Yea Steve I still have the bow Charlie made and love the way it looks and shoots. I just pulled a BBO like it off the form and cleaned it up and trying to finish up a couple other bows first then I can work on it. Here's a pick of it next to charlie's.

Hi Paul and thanks!! Been a while buddy sure miss you guys    :D        :wavey:

I have plenty of bows to work on for a while sitting on the bench that should keep me busy. A couple of them will be sinew backed.

Sweet Tracy! That's better! Very fine looking bow!

You have a good eye for sure! Tillering and detail in the outdoors. Your blessed, sir!

Can't wait to see the finished "Hill Style" bow.
