Post by: bobzila on July 05, 2011, 04:17:00 AM
Hi guy's i am about start building a 1pc recurve and would like to put a wavy splice (like on rose oak bows)half way up the limbs. I have wenge and bocote lems but i am not sure how to do it. Is there a build along or any info on how to do this any where on the forum or on another site.

You have to make two sanding jigs limb length with your pattern that fit perfectly to each other. Then bandsaw and jig sand the pieces and glue them together as a block. Then slice your lams off of your glued up block. A Robo sander would work for jig sanding.
