Title: Grizzly drum sander GO716
Post by: Don Armstrong on June 30, 2011, 12:42:00 PM
Does anyone have a Grizzly GO716 drum sander. Do you think it would work for grinding lams. Thanks, Don

The design appears to be  basically similar to the Performax/Jet but with an outside brace added.   (Which was badly needed).   It should work fine.    There have been a number of discussions of drum sanders.  One yesterday.  You might do a search.    Basically, your choices have been the Grizzly Baby Drum, Performax/Jet 10-20 or the Delta.     The Griz 0716 is a new entry, but should work well, and at the price is worth a look.

Don...  I knew I'd said something on this yesterday...    Scroll on down to "Drum Sander for laminations"....

I had good luck with the performax 10-20. I have upgraded to a widebelt and would have a hard time going back.
