Looks good, real original.
Cool, John!
Very nice indeed John.
I like it John! I been thinking about doing something similar.
GREAT JOB JOHN!!!!
Yeppers! I am shouting it to the world...lol
How cool is this? Way!!! I'm saying...
I can blame folks like you who make works of art that launch arrows nicely that helped me decide to stop trying....lol J/K
Al I ever succeeded in making were sticks that would launch another stick...lol
God bless,Mudd
Real classy
Nice work!! What are the specs on the bow? The whole thing looks great.
Thanks all. I have an Ancient Spirits recurve with a bear pawprint carved into it that is real cool. I thought I'd try something similar on my new swap bow. This seems to be the ticket.
As for spec, it's a standard kids bow I make. 51" or so, 1-1/4" wide or so, and 25# or so at 26". Lot's of "or so's" in there. Often times I just wing it with stuff. :)
Very cool, John. Besides being cool looking, I bet it adds to a more positive grip also. I remember reading an article in an old issueof PA magazine where John Sturtevant(sp) made carvings on the fades of some of his selfbows.
A better grip was my main goal. I also did checkering and stippling but I think this is my favorite. i got to see some of Sturdevant's bows with carved fades. Very cool. I have some interesting ideas for carving on bows now :)
I love it... I actually inlaid a real arrowhead in a bow once and loved it :)
