hi everyone i found a tool we all or most could use if we are on a budget. i was in a carquest auto store buying a hose noticed a sales catalog for free took it home and found a cheap alternative to a costly sprayer to finish our bows it's called a sure shot model 'a' steel sparyers it states fill with 2/3 product, pressurize to 80-150 lbs psi and spray, it's corrosion resistant and has a powder coated finish. best of all is the price $47.99 comes in four color, part no. is eqp a1000b for black or g- green r- red w- white use the last letter with the first 8 of part no. for color change if no car quest auto near you go to www.carquest.com (http://www.carquest.com) or call 1866 545 5405, for racing fans thiers even a great photo of danica patrick in this lit. hope this helps atleast one or two. have a great day bid "HIGH" 'out' lawrence
They dont atomize very good
I have found the Touch Up Sprayers from harbor freight (often on sale for $10) are great for spraying epoxy...and when it is so gummed up internally that you cant use it anymore keep the bottom can, throw the top away and get another.
Of course you need a compressor...
Yep, that's the ticket. Cheap touch-up sprayers. I try to clean em good so they last longer, actually they'll do quite a few bows... but they're cheap enough I don't feel bad about throwing them out and getting another one.
I too save some of the parts for spares, and they've come in handy in times of 'crisis'.
That gave me an idea.... they're so cheap, I should go buy a new gun... just in case.
I bought a good touch up spray gun. It works great.
I use devilbis finish line sprayer. cost 150 for the entire set up, but does an excellent job. Have used it on hundreds of bows and still going strong.
