is there anything i should know before i sell them a few.
Liability or warranty issues?
There is an 11% excise tax on sporting goods including bows. This is collected from the manufacturer not tagged onto the purchase price and collected from the seller like a sales tax.
Do you have insurance?
thanks guys
There's also a specific tax on bows of hunting draw weight:

William
A few years ago a friend owned an archery shop. He worked on and sold compounds, traditional longbows and recurves and a few of my self and backed wood bows. When a customer came looking for a bow, Alan would find out what he wanted and expected and if he was looking for a wood bow, Alan would educate them in the care and treatment of a self or backed wood bow.
Alan probably sold 12 to 15 of my bows in the few years he was open and I only had to replace one bow that was obviously strung backwards even thought the guy swore he didn't.
If you are going into the bow building and selling business be sure you cover all bases and be ready for any possible adversities...or don't get in the business.
Thats some good advice from all of you thanks to you all
Hey, that's great news. Good for you, man.
Would you mind posting a few pics of some of your bows? I am just curious to see your work and see what got them interested.
I don't think posting pics of your bows would break any rules, but you may want to check. I don't want you to get into any trouble.
yeah i will post some pics of my latest. i dont know exactly why they aproched me. i do hang out there quite a bit. i had brought in my newest creation and those guys loved it.i mean its not that great but it does have a nice look. it wasnt even final sanded or finished. i was just test shooting it.its a 62 in r/d hybrid longbow with boo core black glass and a grey dymond wood riser with red and black phenolic accent the limb tips are red and black phenolic with dymond wood at the very tip. it is cut to center and shoots like a rocket. she came out at just a fuzz over sixty pounds at 28 in.
