Title: wood tri laminate question.
Post by: Chris Grimbowyer on March 30, 2011, 09:10:00 PM
Do you guys think a tri wood laminate in a 58 inch duoflex design of say ipe belly yew core and bamboo back (yea i know bb isnt a wood) would be better than say just a bamboo backed yew bow of this design? you could probly replace the ipe with ironwood or something but just curious.

Chris, I can't see why not, here is a picture of a Bamboo backed Walnut core and Osage belly bow I build a couple of years ago.

Thanks Pat,
it makes me smile every time you mention your admiration for that bow, it was an experiment gone right for a change, I can vouch for it's efficiency as well!!

Reconize that bow???
Bert.
Sorry for the crappy pic, can't get it any bigger.
Chris, I apologise, didn't mean to change the subject.
