Title: Glass Recurve Performance
Post by: Bradford on March 30, 2011, 01:35:00 AM
Okay.. so I am trying to 'go to the next level'.. really spending some time on the small details and performance.

I am staring at 3 different limbs from 3 different bows.

Is there any performance benefits to having the wedge upside down?... the Samick bow I bought from Sportsmans Warehouse has the wedge on the small side against the limb pad.. I have always done the 8 1/2" length side against the limb pad.

Also.. what about pad angle.. I know that a bow is stored energy.. so should there be more pre-loaded energy, or would it be best to have it more relaxed at static, so it uses ALL the energy..

I am interested in your guy's ideas and thoughts.

Thanks!

Wait till you see the limb lam's I just made.. they turned out awesome.. I will get some pics.
