Hi all I just wanted to share a simple tool that I made. You guys have helped me out a lot, so I figured I would give back a little bit.
This isn't exactly a build along, I figure you guys can see how to make and use this thing from these two pics.

Basically, just screw a razor blade down to a piece of scrap wood and cut a notch so the shavings can fall out.

Here it is in action. Usually I use two hands for stability, but I had to hold the camera. ;)
I made it because none of my local hardware stores have anything that would make a decent scraper. I'm sure I'm not the only one with that problem. If you have any questions, ask away. :)
Nice, it shows how many ways there are to skin a cat, so to speak. I will have to make one to give it a go. Like today.
Neet idea. thanks
Yes indeed, a very good idea.

A thumbs up for TimB!!!!!!
I love my Mystic all to pieces, but that little jewel there would work great for fasset work! I am going to whip one up. Thanks for the idea!
Hey pearl do you have a mystic scraper from 3 rivers too? I Just ordered one a few weeks ago. havent got to use it on a bow yet.
I do and its thee best tool on my bench Chris. Worth every penny it cost me. I like this one though, it looks handy.
pretty cool little scraper
Does this scraper scrape more like a cabinet scraper or a spoke shave?
Nice Job...I will be making one of those
Chris,
I've never used a cabinet scraper or a spoke shave, so I don't know.
I'm glad you guys like it and I hope you will find it as useful as I have.
