Attached are some pics of a Herter's 46" reproduction I just finished up. I started this bow back in November and it came out lighter than expected thus sat on the shelf for a while.
It has .040 brown ULS, Actionboo cores, Actionwood riser with a white phenolic stripe. I used a .030 walnut power lam in front of the riser to ease some of the stress on the fades. I have white and brown glass overlays on the back, bamboo and brown on the belly and osage and white phenolic on the tips. It turned out 37# @ 28". Thunderbird flat epoxy finish, velcro rest.
Pics are a little dark but I dont see too much daylight this time of the year.

Me like, sweet, congrats.
Cool little bow, you sure turn out some nice looking stuff.
Dang thats short! What is the max draw for it? Nice riser work, very nice.
They shoot good at 28"...and that is about it. It takes a 42" string.
Sweet looking bow. How does she shoot?
Im impressed great job
Not too bad in fact...Silencing these little suckers is sometimes difficult, but its a good shooter.
Now that is just down rat cool. Brad I would say you have out done your bad self, except a little birdie told me you have something even cooler in store for all of us. I can't wait to see it.

I saw this one or one of the ones like this Brad is making and the craftsmanship is awesome. That looks great.
Wow- another nice one Brad!! I like how you did the overlay on the riser. You are right on them being good shooters too- I'll be field testing one next month on some turkeys.
wow, i like that. that would be real nice in my double bull.

Great looking bow Brad......as usual for you.
Thats like my old bow!!! I loved it!!! #47@28, but at my 29 1/2" draw it stacked & pinched a bit, but I loved that old thing~~ till it broke & wacked me along side of my head. Lookn good!

She's a beauty, . Better not let my wife see that one. She still talks about her last one......
I'm still stuck on makin' these osage selfbows. Not ready to move onto the lam jobs yet. Havin' enough problems with these "simple" ones.
You do great work guy, keep it up.
Superb job.
